How It All StartedHow It All Started
One new mum, eight bunches of flowers and a lightbulb moment. “When I had my first baby, I received lots of flowers yet I was feeling completely overwhelmed with everything, the baby, the visitors, the bodily functions and trying to arrange flowers and then dispose of them was all a bit much, however pathetic that sounds. What I really wanted during that time was five minutes to myself, to drink a hot cup of tea, do something to soothe my weary body, or just to stuff my face with a biscuit or three.” - Steph, Founder of Don't Buy Her Flowers. So, in 2014, Don’t Buy Her Flowers was born, with three gift boxes and Steph packing orders in her spare bedroom. What started as a better way to show someone you’re thinking of them has grown into thoughtful gifting for all of life’s moments, from new arrivals and birthdays to celebrations, difficult times and everything in between. Today, thoughtfulness is still at the heart of everything we do, with over 250 products to choose from and the option to create a gift that feels just right for the person receiving it. And it’s not just personal gifting. We work with businesses too, creating thoughtful, memorable gifts that help businesses celebrate, thank and connect with their team members.
